Predicate Proposal - Accelerator Batch and Accelerator Batch Companies

Summary

Accelerator Batch and Accelerator Batch Companies are inverse fields. An individual entity marked “Ia A” = “Accelerator Batch” will have multiple “Accelerator Batch Companies” predicates, and each of those companies will link to the individual Accelerator Batch. This corresponds to the bottom two levels of the image shown here:

Field Name: Accelerator Batch

Definition: An accelerator batch is a group of companies that are funded and mentored as a batch.

Tooltip definition of the predicate: An accelerator batch is a group of companies that are funded and mentored as a batch.

Type of value (one of the following): “entity”

# of accepted values (one of the following): “multiple”

Constraints: Object must be “Accelerator Batch”

Examples of proper use:

  • ‘AirBnB’ ‘Accelerator Batch’ is ‘Y Combinator W09 Batch’ - AirBnB participated in the Y Combinator W09 Batch
  • ‘SendGrid’ ‘Accelerator Batch’ is ‘Techstars Class 4 - Boulder 2009 Summer’ - SendGrid participated in the Techstars Boulder 2009 batch

Examples of improper use:

  • ‘AirBnB’ ‘Accelerator Batch’ is ‘Y Combinator’ - The predicate should point to an accelerator batch instead of the parent accelerator organization.

Field Name: Accelerator Batch Companies
(Note: The name “Accelerator Batch Companies” is used in the plural form since virtually all accelerator batches fund multiple companies in each batch.)

Definition: A company funded as part of an accelerator batch.

Tooltip definition of the predicate: A company funded as part of an accelerator batch.

Type of value (one of the following): “entity”

# of accepted values (one of the following): “multiple”

Constraints: Object must be “Organization”

Examples of proper use:

  • ‘Y Combinator W09 Batch’ ‘Accelerator Batch Companies’ is ‘AirBnB’ - AirBnB participated in the Y Combinator W09 Batch
  • ‘Techstars Class 4 - Boulder 2009 Summer’ ‘Accelerator Batch Companies’ is ‘SendGrid’ - SendGrid participated in the Techstars Boulder 2009 batch

Examples of improper use:

  • ‘Y Combinator S10 Batch’ ‘Accelerator Batch Companies’ is ‘AirBnB’ - AirBnB was not part of this Y Combinator batch; it’s incorrect data.

This looks good to me! I think the example of improper use for Accelerator Batch is particularly good, as I have seen some errors in the past that are exactly like this, due to confusion. Schema image is an excellent addition.
